Your learning state stays private to your account.

What the current product keeps

If you create an account, we keep your email address, onboarding answers, course enrolment, lesson progress, bookmarks, private reflections, lesson-assistant conversations, and lesson feedback. Public course and resource pages do not require an account.

How long it is kept

Learning data is retained while your account exists. Choosing Delete account in your profile revokes active sessions and permanently deletes your authentication account and application learning data.

Infrastructure providers may retain operational logs or backups until their normal retention periods expire.

Export

The current version does not provide a self-service data export. Complete account deletion is available instead.

Analytics and performance

Resource popularity uses aggregate bookmark counts to order resources. Individual bookmarks, account identities and per-resource totals are not published in the directory.

Vercel Web Analytics measures page usage and Vercel Speed Insights measures site performance. Google Analytics measures page usage only after you choose to allow analytics; it is not given your email address, private reflections, or lesson progress.

PostHog receives a restricted reporting copy of account IDs, selected goals, course enrolments, lesson progress, and saved-content references. It does not receive email addresses, profile details, private reflections, assistant conversations, lesson feedback, entitlements, or authentication records.

Lesson assistant

If you choose to use the lesson assistant, your question and the relevant lesson text are sent through Vercel AI Gateway to Anthropic to generate an answer. The composer discloses this before you send; sending the question records your agreement. Questions and answers are stored privately with your account so the conversation can continue. Lesson feedback is stored with your account, course, and lesson and can be reviewed by site administrators.

Survey

The learner survey is hosted by Typeform. Answers you submit are handled by Typeform; we do not automatically prefill the survey with your account details.

Current service boundaries

Supabase provides authentication and private learner storage, Resend delivers sign-in emails, Vercel hosts the application and performance measurement, and Google provides consent-based usage analytics. PostHog stores the restricted reporting copy described above. Vercel AI Gateway and Anthropic process lesson-assistant requests only after you opt in. Payments are disabled.
